Violin plots for salivary cortisol in immediate (n = 28) and delayed extinction (n = 29) revealed a significant time effect. Salivary cortisol decreased from pre-acquisition (pre-acq) to post-extinction (post-ext). Post hoc t-tests revealed no pre-extinction group differences.
